Peter Ashley Activity Centre (Fort Widley Equestrian Centre) are looking for an apprentice to join their friendly team. The position will include general yard duties i.e. mucking out, turning out/in, riding & exercise. Would suit someone looking for a career in the equine industry.
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
Requirements
- GCSE in Math and English (grade C/4 or above)
- The ability to get to work reliably due to the rural location
- Happy to work outdoors in all weathers
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Responsibilities
- All aspects of horse care including:
- Grooming
- Mucking out
- Trimming and clipping
- Plaiting
- Lungeing and riding
- Health care
- Feeding
- Assisting with running of events
- Assisting with customer care and experience
- Functional Skills if required
Benefits

- For the right candidate there may be progression on to the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship.
