We are seeking an organised, personable Equine Insurance & Debt Administrator to join our team at Pool House Equine Vets on a part-time basis.
Pool House Equine Hospital has been a significant part of the community for a great many years and has been a beacon of high-quality veterinary care for our clients. Our staff at Pool House Equine are our biggest strength, in addition to the fantastic facilities we have to offer our clients. The group has specialist-trained colleagues and referrals specialists for surgery, diagnostics, medicine and lameness /poor performance.
How You’ll Make a Difference
This is a varied administrative role combing insurance claims processing with debt management and general office duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling and processing Equine insurance claims efficiently and accurately.
- Liaising with insurance companies, clients, and Veterinary staff.
- Managing debt administration, including monitoring outstanding balances and following up on payments.
- Maintaining accurate financial and client records.
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with client enquires in a professional manner.
- Supporting general office administration as required.

Working Pattern
This is a part-time permanent role working 35 hours per week. Shift patterns will be 9.30-17.00.
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
We ask that you have experience in the veterinary profession due to the demanding role and responsibilities that our reception team undertake. You must be confident, have excellent communication skills, have a high capability for organisation and co-ordination to run a diary efficiently, have the client and patient at the for-front of everything you do, and most of all, be able to greet our clients with a big smile that makes them feel welcome.
Other requirements include:
- Previous administrative experience essential.
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Competent in basic IT systems and office software.
- Equine Knowledge essential.
