About the Role

Support the Equine Department in providing an outstanding, safe and professional experience for students, commercial clients and visitors, whilst ensuring the highest standards of horse welfare

The role supports the Equine Team in the day to day running of the Equine Centre, assisting with the supervision of students whilst undertaking practical tasks and supervising student liveries.

Support the management of student liveries and full liveries promoting high standards of care, welfare and yard management

Maintain a safe, organised and professional environment ensuring all activities are carried out in line with health and safety requirements

You will also be part of our team hosting and assisting with the running of International Equine Events and commercial bookings throughout the year

You will stay in shared accommodation comprising of a single occupancy double bedroom within a shared farmhouse situated on-site. Facilities include a large communal living room, kitchen and garden with parking

About You

You will be team player who has high standards of horse care and the enthusiasm and drive to motivate students

Passionate about horse care and welfare, with a commitment to maintaining high professional standards

You will be keen to develop your own skills and will have the opportunity to improve your riding ability through two staff development lessons each week

Ideally, you will hold a BHS Stage 2 or equivalent industry recognised qualification

You will have excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible approach to work

Experience of working within a large equine yard, commercial yard or educational setting would be advantageous
