Equipment Engineer Graduate
Senior Metrology Engineer
This position is a key member of the Engineering team, responsible for improving, sustaining, and troubleshooting Metrology equipment.
What You Will Do
- Ownership of the site metrology equipment toolset – Initially under the guidance of existing tool owners
- Publish and own tool recovery plans for owned toolsets that have been down for > 24 hours
- Provide highly innovative solutions for equipment issues to enable recoveries, avoiding very high costs or no obvious solutions (even with vendor support)
- Approve/critique detailed technical procedures for:
- Equipment PMs (Preventive Maintenance)
- Tool Operation
- OCAPS (Laser/Optics&Magnetic Calibration Operations Safety)
- Weekly reporting of key tool indices:
- OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Availability
- PM KPIs
- Drive availability improvements through:
- Baseline equipment performance analysis
- Improvement projects in collaboration with:
- Process Team
- Integration Team
- R&D
- Vendors
- Assist in new product integration where tool modification or setup is required
- Develop cross-tool type capability (tool matching)
- Find innovative solutions for obsolescence in electronic/mechanical systems
- Review all scheduled maintenance activities online through PROMIS TMS and improve efficiency
- Lean improvement:
- Identify opportunities to eliminate waste, including:
- PM (preventative maintenance) extensions
- Process simplification
- Qualification (qual) reductions
- Identify opportunities to eliminate waste, including:
- 6S Ownership:
- Take full ownership, drive improvement, and set applicable standards for:
- Tool set
- Ancillary/ storage areas
- Take full ownership, drive improvement, and set applicable standards for:
- Own the tool start-up process from purchase to release for Tier 2 tool installations, in conjunction with:
- Process Team
- Equipment Experts
- Develop a detailed understanding of facilities requirements for tools

Qualifications & Education Requirements

- Degree / HND in a scientific discipline is preferred
