Equipment Services Assistant - Scunthorpe
Community Equipment Store and Wheelchair Service Technician
About the Role
The Community Equipment Store and Wheelchair Service is a frontline team responsible for providing essential clinical support to patients by:
- Distributing specialist aids and mobility equipment (e.g., wheelchairs).
- Delivering, assembling, and fitting equipment within the community, including patients' homes.
- Ensuring seamless service delivery—timely installations, collections, and rapid response for clinical needs.
The role demands:
- Independence and teamwork to navigate diverse tasks.
- Adaptability to clinical or service demands, always centring on patient outcomes.
- Collaboration with healthcare professionals, therapists, carers, and external services.
Duty Days
Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and selecting equipment from warehouses.
- Driving to appointments and fitting wheelchairs/equipment at home or community sites. -racking daily demand for a resilient, responsive service.
- Assisting with operations: ordering, attending referrals, maintaining service quality.
- Working closely with clinicians, therapists, and carers.
