The Team:
Our sector-based research teams operate with a goal to be our clients’ first call for investment ideas, longer-term thematic pieces and industry expertise. This vacancy sits within our Industrials Team, which primarily covers French, British and German multinationals, and has a mandate to grow across Europe.
The Role:
We are keen to hire an Associate or Senior Associate to join the team in London. The role will involve working alongside the Senior Analyst and will entail a range of responsibilities – idea generation, client interaction, financial modelling, sourcing insights, preparing reports/presentations, and generally helping to increase the scope of our Industrials franchise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead analyst in the provision of fundamental research
- The team currently consists of several members and this role is seen as an experienced hire
- Ability to work independently and generate new ideas and angles
- Develop and maintain financial models and keep on top of data flow
- Contribute independently to written reports, presentations and thematic pieces
- Employ your strong initiative to source data, identify trends and monitor market developments, while continually improving your knowledge of the sector
- Assist the team in client marketing and corporate access, often collaborating with adjacent teams in Investment Banking and Corporate Broking

Qualifications:
- Experience in Equity Research or a transferable field, such as audit, accounting, etc. Experience in a finance-driven role at a company operating within the Industrials sector could also be suitable
- Open to experience in other sectors. How you think about something is more important than sector knowledge
- Degree qualified with a record of academic achievement
- Highly numerate and analytical, and proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Intellectually curious and conscientious, with a zeal for learning new things
- Excellent communication skills in English – both written and verbal. Fluency in another language would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite
