Equity Tactical Strategies
Equity Tactical Strategies – Global Markets
Join us as an Equity Tactical Strategies Professional within our Global Markets team. The successful candidate will identify actionable equity market opportunities, develop thematic investment ideas, and deliver high-quality market insights to institutional clients and internal stakeholders.
Working closely with Sales, Trading, Research, and Portfolio Solutions teams, you will leverage market intelligence, quantitative analysis, and macroeconomic views to generate short- to medium-term equity investment strategies across sectors, regions, and market themes.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and communicate actionable equity and sector investment ideas.
- Analyse market, economic, and company-specific developments to identify trading opportunities.
- Produce timely market commentary, thematic research, and tactical strategy reports.
- Develop quantitative and fundamental frameworks to support investment recommendations.
- Partner with Sales and Trading teams to deliver insights and solutions to institutional clients.
- Monitor market performance, assess risks, and refine strategy recommendations accordingly.
- Present market views and investment themes to clients and senior stakeholders.
About the Role
To develop and execute sales strategies to:
- Generate new business
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients
- Achieve revenue targets
Accountabilities include:
- Develop and maintain client relationships, understanding their financial needs and objectives
- Present and pitch financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of requests
- Stay updated on market trends, financial products, and industry regulations
- Collaborate with research analysts and teams to provide clients with insights and market updates
- Negotiate terms and agreements with clients to finalise sales transactions

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Deep interest in financial markets
- Significant experience within Equity Strategy, Equity Research, Sales & Trading, Asset Management, Hedge Funds, or a related Global Markets function
- Ability to generate and articulate compelling investment ideas for diverse audiences
- Proficiency in market data platforms like Bloomberg
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders or clients
- Strong understanding of equity markets, macroeconomics, portfolio construction, and risk management
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical capability in Excel, with preferable knowledge of Python, SQL, or analytical tools
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in derivatives
- Knowledge of French or German
