Job Description: ER Advisor (Field-Based)
About the Role
We are recruiting an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor to join our Human Resources team, providing field-based support to senior managers and people managers across numerous vertical markets.
The role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic HR Team, focusing on elevating how we support the business while building on existing strengths. Based in Leeds, Redditch, Preston and Welwyn Garden City, travel between sites will be required based on business needs.
Purpose of the Role
Support great people decisions and develop an enabling culture aligned with company values, with key objectives including:
- Enhancing individual, management, and team performance across the HR lifecycle
- Sourcing, identifying, developing, and retaining talent
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve: Employee relations cases while coaching managers on effective ER handling
- Operational support: Ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant management of ER issues in line with employment legislation and company policies
- Proactive HR advice: Provide timely, practical, and commercially focused guidance
- Risk mitigation & strength evaluation: Analyse Employee Relations (ER) trends, identify opportunities to reduce risk, and partner with HR teams on organisational change programmes and people initiatives
- Building stakeholder relationships: Establish trust with multiple stakeholders and operate across a complex environment

Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
- Qualification: CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent)
- Experience: Proven track record in Employee Relations or HR Advisory roles
- Independence: Able to operate autonomously and delegate effectively
- Stakeholder skills: Experience in building trust and managing relationships with multidisciplinary teams
- Resilience: Thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Initiative: Ability to identify opportunities and drive value-add projects
