ER Business Partner
The ER Partner is a critical role that has a positive impact on our business through effective management of various employee relations matters. In this role, you'll coach ER Business Partners on handling complex and high-risk ER issues to minimize risks. Additionally, you'll introduce a framework for proactive case management and streamline the process for managing ER case files. We're looking for someone who is passionate about driving positive change in employee relations. Main Responsibilities Conduct investigations across complex and high-risk ER matters with the aim of minimizing risk Provide professional ER support and accurate and appropriate advice, including advice on absence, disciplinary and grievance cases, to operational management and business leads to minimize risk of litigation and ensure Arriva standards and values are adhered to. Provide effective management information and analysis on employee relations trends Develops and implement strategies in response to trends including policy, manager guides and program development. Introduce a framework to proactively manage cases taking a risk based approach to settlement to minimize on-going cost Implement a process for the management of ER cases files and data with the aim of reducing the volume of cases Build effective relationships with ER Business Partners, operational management, business leads and Trade Union Representatives to promote positive employee relations and a high level of employee satisfaction Participate in the implementation of projects i.e., Organization change and other people related initiatives Promote the culture where line managers are aware of and own employee relations issues within the business. Maintain up to date employment law knowledge in line with legislation About You An experienced ER professional with solid employee relations experience, accustomed to working with trade unions and managing complex ER cases A solid understanding of employment legislation, its application and best practice Ability work in partnership, building effective working relationships, to coach and influence stakeholders to drive appropriate outcomes Demonstrate sound business/commercial approach with excellent judgment and professional demeaner Ability to share knowledge and best practice Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks whilst ensuring deadlines are met Sound analytical skills to provide insightful management information, trend analysis and case load reporting Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft office packages and HR databases Arriva is a leading provider of passenger transport across Europe, employing around 34,400 people and delivering around 1.6 billion passenger journeys.
