Purpose of Job
CrossCountry are looking for an ER Policy & Reward Partner to provide professional, timely and consistent employee relations, policy and reward support across the organisation, ensuring legally compliant and well-governed outcomes. The role manages a caseload of ER matters, supports the maintenance of the people policy framework, and coordinates defined reward activity such as benchmarking, terms and conditions queries and job evaluation administration.
Principal Accountabilities
- Provide clear, practical advice to HR colleagues on policy, ER approach and relevant employment law considerations; escalate high-risk matters as appropriate.
- Manage a varied caseload of complex cases.
- Support HR Partners to ensure case documentation, meeting packs and outcome communications in line with policy and legal requirements.
- Coordinate and support reward activity including benchmarking requests, terms and conditions queries, and maintaining governance records for approvals.
- Support job evaluation activity by coordinating documentation, ensuring role profile consistency and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain accurate ER records, case notes and dashboards to support reporting, compliance and audit requirements.
- Identify trends and recurring issues and propose preventative actions to reduce escalation, improve consistency and support absence reduction.
- Support organisational change processes (including restructures and consultation) through policy, process and documentation support.
- Work collaboratively with HR Partners, Senior HRBPs, IR colleagues and Trade Union representatives to support early resolution of issues.
- Ensure all advice and documentation comply with GDPR, data protection requirements and internal governance standards.

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training
Essential:
- Experience managing ER casework within a unionised, corporate or operational environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience drafting and quality checking HR documentation and maintaining accurate case records.
- Understanding of reward principles, terms and conditions and benchmarking activity.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to coach and influence
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 (or equivalent experience).
- Experience of working with stakeholders to formulate and update company policies.
- Experience of reward and benchmarking.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting job evaluation and/or pay review activity.
- Experience in rail, transport, logistics or other regulated sectors.
