Ergonomics Assessor & Installation Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Ergonomics Assessor & Installation Engineer to join our team. This role involves evaluating workspaces, identifying ergonomic risks, and providing tailored recommendations to enhance comfort, well-being, and productivity.
While equipment setup and adjustments are part of the role, the focus is primarily on delivering ergonomic expertise and personalised guidance to support clients in creating healthier work environments.

Key Skills & Experience
- Ergonomic Expertise – Ability to conduct detailed assessments and recommend tailored solutions (preferred but not essential).
- Customer-Centric Approach – Strong listening skills and empathetic communication to address client needs.
- Technical Proficiency – Experience in setting up and adjusting furniture/equipment with a deep understanding of ergonomic principles, tools, and safety.
- Problem-Solving – Identifies workspace issues and develops innovative solutions for efficiency and comfort.
- Attention to Detail – High precision in assessments and installations.
- Physical Stamina – Ability to lift/move furniture while following safe handling techniques.
- Strong Communication – Clear verbal and written explanations of ergonomic advice.
- Professionalism & Approachability – Friendly demeanour to comfort clients discussing sensitive concerns.
- Time Management – Efficiently juggles assessments, installations, and deadlines.
- Team Collaboration – Works well with colleagues to share knowledge and complete projects.

Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence (preferably with no more than 3 penalty points).
- Flexibility – Willingness to work flexible hours/occasional weekends.
- Background Check – DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)Cleared required.
Responsibilities
Ergonomic Assessments
- Conduct thorough workplace evaluations, identifying risks and recommending ergonomic solutions (e.g., chairs, desks).
- Provide guidance on best practices and demonstrate products for client feedback.
Client Interaction
- Actively listen to client concerns, tailoring advice to their needs.
- Maintain a respectful, professional manner while discussing potentially sensitive issues.

Furniture Installation
- Assemble/install bespoke workstations (chairs, desks, laptop stands, peripherals).
- Train clients on equipment Suitability and usage.
Workspace Optimisation
- Adjust layouts for ergonomics, productivity, and aesthetics.
- Recommend furniture configurations based on client needs.
Tools & Equipment
- Select/maintain tools/equipment for installations and assessments.
- Ensure all tools comply with safety standards.
Documentation
- Record assessments, installations, and client specifications.
- Generate before-and-after reports detailing improvements.
Customer Service
- Deliver outstanding service, addressing client concerns or tailoring solutions.
Team Collaboration
- Work with installation engineers, project managers and designers to meet deadlines.
