- Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum (based on experience)
- Location: London / Hybrid
- Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time
- Contract: 12 month fixed term
About the Role
RIBA is searching for an experienced ERP Finance Product Owner/SME to lead the delivery of a new Finance solution (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) as part of a major organisation-wide transformation—the Digital House of Architecture programme.
As part of a broader technology modernisation, this role will focus on replacing legacy systems and enhancing financial processes across the organisation. You’ll act as the primary bridge between Finance stakeholders, suppliers, and delivery teams, shaping the solution from discovery to implementation while ensuring alignment with business needs, leveraging best-in-class processes, and driving user adoption for long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structured procurement process for a replacement finance solution (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
- Work closely with stakeholders to define and develop financial, payroll, and reporting solutions.
- Support business case standing committees to inform the strategic direction of finance processes.
- Ensure successful adoption of the new system, safeguarding business productivity and minimising disruption.
- Define, measure, and report on efficiency savings delivered by the digital transformation.
- Shape RIBA’s financial architecture, focusing on data governance and process optimisation for grip on finance.

** Experience & Qualities**
Essential
- Proven experience in implementing MS Business Central (or similar ERP) in organisations with similar size and complexity.
- Expertise in developing best-in-class processes within MS Business Central (or equivalent) in an SME environment.
- Deep understanding of Finance and Payroll processes, with the ability to translate them into functional and non-functional requirements for a new system.
- Exceptional stakeholder communication skills to facilitate solutions discussions and drive consensus on system design.
- Ability to quickly align with RIBA’s current financial policies and processes, then adapt them to a new platform.
- Experience in supporting change management and user adoption initiatives.
- Familiarity with data governance and data attribute standards.
Desirable
- Systems accountant with ERP platform configuration and management experience.
- Experience in ≥1 ERP implementation where MS Business Central was integrated with other systems (e.g. CRM).
- Ability to author high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Proven workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of project methodologies (e.g. Scrum, PRINCE2) and tools like Azure DevOps/Jira.
- Strong Finance and Payroll reporting expertise.
