Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in ERwin Data Modeler to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data models that support business objectives and data governance initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data architects, developers, and analysts to ensure high-quality, scalable, and efficient data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using ERwin Data Modeler.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust data models and database designs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and development teams to define data structures and data flow requirements.
  • Ensure data models align with enterprise architecture, data governance, and industry best practices.
  • Perform data analysis, data profiling, and data mapping activities across multiple source systems.
  • Define and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.
  • Support database design reviews and provide recommendations for performance optimization.
  • Work closely with ETL, Data Engineering, and BI teams to support data integration initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of enterprise data assets.
  • Participate in data governance programs, including data quality and master data management initiatives.
  • Assist in impact analysis and support data migration and transformation projects.

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Modeling and Data Architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ERwin Data Modeler.
  • Expertise in creating Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models.
  • Strong knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Experience with data mapping, metadata management, and data lineage documentation.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and normalization techniques.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise data environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Exposure to ETL tools and Data Integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience in Banking domain is a plus.
