ESOL / EAL Tutor Job Details
We are currently looking for experienced ESOL, EAL, CELTA, or TEFL-qualified Tutors to support children, young people, and adults across Dorset and the BCP area through personalised 1:1 tuition. Working with learners from a variety of backgrounds, you will help develop English language skills, build confidence in communication, and support learners in achieving their educational and personal goals. These opportunities offer flexible hours and can be tailored around existing teaching, tutoring, or work commitments.

Hours: Flexible
Start Date: September 2026
Type: 1:1 Tuition
Pay Rate: £25-£30
The Role
As an ESOL/EAL Tutor, you will:
- Deliver engaging and tailored 1:1 English language support
- Adapt sessions to meet individual learning needs and language levels
- Support learners in developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
- Build confidence in everyday communication and functional English
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor progress and provide feedback where required
Sessions may take place in learners' homes, educational settings, or community venues depending on the placement.

Requirements
- ESOL, EAL, CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 6 Months' Experience Working In An Educational Setting
- Experience supporting learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach
- Ability to deliver engaging 1:1 sessions
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
