About the Role
Job Title: Estates Caretaker
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Sector: Property Services
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am – 4:30 pm
Salary: £30,005.00 per annum
We have an opportunity for an Estates Caretaker to work across residential estates in the Chesham and High Wycombe areas, delivering a proactive and responsive cleaning and caretaking service.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning communal areas across residential properties to a high standard.
- Vacuuming, wiping surfaces, removing rubbish, cleaning toilets, and restocking supplies.
- Cleaning and sanitising bin rooms, ensuring bins remain accessible, and assisting refuse collection services when required.
- Removing litter, leaves, dog fouling, and other waste from external areas.
- Clearing gutters and gullies to prevent blockages and maintain site safety.
- Sweeping hard surfaces and supporting snow clearance and gritting activities during winter months.
- Cleaning lift interiors and keeping control panels and door runners free from dirt and debris.
- Identifying and reporting requirements for deep cleans or specialist cleaning services.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times.
- Reporting tenancy-related issues, estate concerns, or property defects as appropriate.
- Recording completed work accurately using the required technology and systems.
- Ordering, handling, and storing cleaning products and equipment safely.
- Maintaining cleanliness within bin stores and reporting any waste collection issues.
- Responding to emergency situations when required.
- Driving service vehicles safely and ensuring they are kept clean, roadworthy, and well maintained.
- Providing basic advice and assistance to residents while on site.
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required by the role.

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (Manual)
- Basic DBS Check
