We’re Hiring: Estate Caretaker
Department: Estate Services Team
Salary: £27,382 – £28,169
Location: Leyland (covering South Ribble, Accrington and Fleetwood)
Hours: 36.25 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term (6 months)

About The Role
As an Estate Caretaker, you’ll play a key role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments across our housing estates.

- Carry out regular estate inspections, ensuring communal areas, open spaces, and shared facilities are well maintained and free from issues (e.g., fly tipping).
- Complete fire safety and compliance checks, reporting and following up any concerns.
- Respond to tenant enquiries and support community initiatives.
- Work closely with colleagues and partners to resolve issues.
- Carry out minor repairs to maintain properties and communal areas in good condition.
- Travel across a wide geographical area; flexibility and self-management are essential.
This is a site-based role requiring initiative, independence, and strong organisational skills.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Good DIY or maintenance skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Reliable and proactive approach
- Good communication skills to liaise with residents and colleagues

- Full UK driving licence (required for travel across sites)
Desirable Qualifications/Skills:
- Awareness of health and safety practices
- Basic IT skills for recording and reporting tasks
