Estate Maintenance Operative

Estates Maintenance Operative Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens | Mannings Heath Golf & Wine Estate | Sutton Offices

We are looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual to join our small but busy maintenance team, working across two beautiful estates in the Horsham area and our offices in Sutton. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who has a foundation of practical skills and is keen to develop further, working alongside an experienced colleague who will guide and mentor you along the way.

The work is genuinely varied. Day to day you will be involved in general maintenance and repairs across the estates, but you will also play a key part in larger projects including fencing, carpentry, and event setup — from erecting marquees and building bars to making sure everything is ready for our guests. No two days are quite the same, and we take pride in maintaining our properties to a high standard.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
