Estate Services Gardener – Help Keep Our Estates Clean, Green and Welcoming
This role will cover the following postcodes - Post codes – SG1, SG2,SG5-7,SG15-19, MK3, LU4 -6.

As an Estate Services Gardener at Peabody, you’ll play a key role in delivering a consistent, customer-focused gardening service across our estates. You’ll help create well-maintained, attractive environments that residents can enjoy and feel proud of.
This is a hands-on role where your effort, attention to detail and commitment to quality will make a visible difference every day.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out scheduled grounds maintenance tasks across estates in line with service programmes
- Undertake seasonal work including planting, hedge maintenance, turf care, weeding and leaf clearance
- Apply and store chemicals safely in line with DEFRA, legislation and company guidelines
- Operate and maintain tools, machinery and equipment safely and effectively
- Remove and dispose of green waste in accordance with company policy and regulations
- Keep estates and communal areas clean, tidy, litter-free and weed-free
- Support soft and hard landscaping improvements across sites
- Report issues requiring specialist attention such as vandalism, equipment defects or tree works
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and carry out safety and security checks
- Provide cover for colleagues as required to maintain service delivery

What You’ll Need
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to carry out horticultural work using hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Good literacy and basic numeracy skills
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety within estate services
- Ability to organise your workload independently
- Physical ability to carry out outdoor, manual work in varying weather conditions
- A valid UK driving licence
- PA1 & PA6a pesticide certificates (desirable but not essential)

This is a physically demanding, outdoor role within a customer-facing environment. You must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and contributing to high standards across multiple estates. This role requires a Basic DBS check.
