Estate Services Officer

Estate Services Officer (Full-Time) – Permanent

About the Role

Are you an experienced handyperson?

Join Amplius as an Estate Services Officer and contribute to maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming properties. Your role will involve everything from minor repairs, communal area upkeep, fire safety checks, and preparing homes for new residents.

Key Details

  • Salary: £29,137.58 per year
  • Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours/week)
  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 am–4:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am–3:30 pm
  • Location: Grimsby

What the Role Involves

You’ll ensure estates and properties remain well-maintained and in excellent condition by performing the following tasks:

  • Keep communal areas clean, tidy, and free of rubbish or graffiti.
  • Conduct minor repairs and maintenance (e.g. joinery, plumbing, decorating) in both communal and residential areas.
  • Report major issues to the Works Supervisor and execute assigned repairs.
  • Carry out regular checks for damage or maintenance needs, reporting findings as required.
  • Complete fire safety checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare empty homes for new occupants through decorating, repairs, and thorough cleaning.
  • Execute maintenance and void work within agreed deadlines.

Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you should ideally possess:

  • Experience as a handyperson with skills in:
    • Cleaning, maintenance, plastering, painting, decorating, basic plumbing and plumbing repairs.
    • Joinery, general repairs, DIY work and property upkeep.
  • A track record of working effectively with customers, whether residents, colleagues, or external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of fire safety protocols, customer confidentiality, and privacy obligations.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous record-keeping abilities.
  • A reliable, positive, and collaborative attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Conditions

You must:

  • Provide a valid DBS check.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (Amplius does not provide sponsorship).
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
