Estate/Night Porter
AT INGLISTON COUNTRY CLUB AND HOTEL WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING AN ESTATE/ NIGHT PORTER – A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN THE BUSINESS AT AN INCREDIBLY EXCITING TIME.
The ideal candidate will be driven to ensure our estate is run as effectively as possible, and remains secure at all times.
The Estate
A picturesque resort set in a 90-acre private estate, Ingliston Country Club and Hotel is close to Glasgow Airport and perfectly located in between Glasgow City Centre and Loch Lomond.
A family-owned and managed business, Ingliston Estate includes an award-winning conference and wedding venue with three elegant suites, a boutique hotel, luxury lodges, Palomino’s restaurant, and an Equestrian Centre – with exciting plans for a RV Park in the coming months.

As part of this growth, we are looking to add to our dedicated team with a new permanent position of Estate/Night Porter.
The Role
Duties
We are looking for someone who can work full-time (42 hours), five days over seven, including working at weekends. As well as being familiar with hotel regulations and current licensing regulations, duties will include:
- Ensuring all access to the hotel is secure and required by hotel policy and procedure
- Performing any related security duties as required overnight
- Reporting all potential and real hazards immediately
- Reporting any unusual occurrences or problems to the Estate Manager
- Assisting the Events Team with any room set-ups
- Giving assistance to other teams as and when necessary

The Person
The ideal Estate/Night Porter will:
- Have previous experience working within a similar environment
- Be able to build and maintain effective relationships
- Have a warm and engaging personality
- Be professionally presented
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be flexible and able to work weekends, as the role involves significant weekend working over 42 hours per week
- Due to location, a driving license would be beneficial
