About the Role
You’ll deliver high-quality administrative support to Forestry England’s National Estates Team, working collaboratively to:
- Provide essential administrative support to the National Estates team;
- Ensure the day-to-day operation of the national office is streamlined and efficient;
- Maintain core administrative, financial, and compliance responsibilities to the required standard.
Responsibilities
- Assist with managing estate portfolios, ensuring all administrative processes meet regulatory and operational standards;
- Support in -processing and filing, maintaining accurate records for estate operations;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve administrative workflows;
- Handle financial and compliance documents for estates, ensuring adherence to policies and deadlines;
- Provide non-complex administrative services across estate-related matters, including communications and coordination.
Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in a disciplined administrative role, ideally within a public-sector, charitable, or estates management environment;
- Excellent organisation, communication, and analytical skills, with an eye for detail;
- Strong ability to prioritise tasks, manage workloads efficiently, and meet deadlines;
- Qualifications or experience in administration, estate management, or business operations would be advantageous.

Desirable
- Prior experience working with financial or compliance documentation within an estate or governmental context;
- Familiarity with IT systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, ERP tools);
- Basic understanding of forestry or environmental regulations would be beneficial.

Application Process
Part 1: Initial Submission
- Submit a 200-word statement on your relevant administrative experience and career history.
- Include a personal statement (max 500 words) highlighting your suitability for the role.
- Sifting will review both statements against job requirements.
Part 2: Interview
Assessed on the following:

- Strength-based incompetencies (if applicable)

- Making effective decisions
Successful candidates will undergo:
- Criminal record check
