Hours: Part-time role, 3 days per week, 19.5 hours pw - 6.5 hours per day
Work Pattern: Ideally Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with some flexibility to change days if needed (8AM - 3PM / 9AM - 4PM)
Salary: £27,173 per annum for full time hours, salary will be pro rata for part time hours.
Location: Sale Rd, Norwich NR7 9TP - Travel to various external locations as needed, covering Central, North, East, South, and West region.
Due to the nature of the role a driver licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is essential for this role, mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted.
Are you looking for a role where you can use your practical skills to support the smooth running of estates and facilities? Norfolk and Waveney Mind is seeking a proactive and dedicated Estates & Facilities Technician to join our team.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of our Estates & Facilities Team, ensuring all maintenance, servicing, and audits are up to date. You will be instrumental in overseeing the efficient operation of our premises and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver top-quality facilities management.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the Estates & Facilities Team to create an effective, engaged, and high-performing team.
- Assist the Estates and Facilities Manager during repairs and practical tasks.
- Collaborate with the Head of Estates and Facilities to plan and execute works programs.
- Complete tasks professionally, timely, and cost-efficiently.
- Liaise with contractors and ensure quality service delivery.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders across the business.
- Provide support across all Norfolk and Waveney Mind sites and partner organisations as needed.
- Undertake additional duties within the scope of the role.

Skills & Experience
- Significant experience of maintenance work in any form (e.g. Construction, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Caretaking).
- Experience with a wide variety of Tools both hand and powered.
- Strong ability to problem-solve and resolve issues across estates.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing environments.
