Senior Estates Manager – Retail & Commercial Properties (London, Permanent Role)

MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading retailer to recruit an Experienced Estates Manager based in London for a permanent role.


About the Role

Are you an experienced property manager within retail and commercial estates, with expertise in:

  • Client relationships
  • Landlord and Tenant Act
  • Rent reviews
  • Buildings compliance

Can you confidently manage large estates spread across the UK?


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic and operational management of a diverse national property portfolio
  • Lead on:
    • Property acquisitions and disposals
    • Lease negotiations, renewals, and rent reviews
    • Capital investment programmes, refurbishments, and maintenance planning (retail and residential)
  • Ensure full compliance with property legislation, health & safety, and sustainability requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Landlords
    • Agents
    • Local authorities
    • Internal stakeholders
  • Lead a small in-house team and manage third-party consultants and contractors

  • Proven experience in estates or property management at a senior level, preferably in a retail-led environment
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Commercial and residential property law
    • Leases and planning
    • Asset management
  • Excellence in:
    • Negotiation
    • Budgeting
    • Project management
  • RICS qualification or equivalent (desirable)
  • (Not essential, but preferred) Chartered surveyor status

Competitive Package
