Estates Manager at Westminster Abbey
Salary: £55,000 per annum
An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join Westminster Abbey, one of the UK's most iconic and historic landmarks, as an Estates Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Estates, you'll play a key role in preserving this world-renowned Grade I listed estate, managing planned, statutory and reactive maintenance across its historic buildings and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cyclical, statutory and responsive maintenance programmes.
- Oversee M&E, fire safety and building services compliance.
- Develop maintenance strategies, KPIs and SLAs.
- Manage specialist contractors, budgets and procurement.
- Ensure all works meet statutory, health & safety and heritage requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external consultants.

About You
- Experience managing estates or facilities within heritage, historic or complex buildings.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance, M&E systems and maintenance planning.
- Proven contractor and budget management experience.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- IWFM membership (or willingness to join) is desirable.
