About the Role

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides compassionate, quality, and timely emergency and urgent care to everyone in the South West 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We deliver this over 10,000 square miles of England and occupy over 100 buildings in order to deliver the best care when you need us most.

To look after all of our buildings, we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Estates Officer to join our Estates Team.

Responsibilities

Estates Officers have day-to-day responsibility for the management of operational aspects of Trust buildings, its partnership organisations, and internal customers ensuring they are progressive, responsive to internal and external demand, are patient-focused, safe, efficient, and effective.

Estates Officers will contribute to the planning and delegation of minor estates schemes/projects, including liaison with operational teams and professions such as contractors, suppliers, planning officers, and specialist consultants.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a proven track record within a similar role in Facilities Management or Building Services. There is a specific need for the post holder to have an electrical background as they will be looking after sites with secondary and tertiary power supplies. They will be able to work under their own steam and as part of a wider team, they will have a sound knowledge of contractor management, health and safety, and project management are essential. In addition, they will be a confident and empathetic communicator with strong attention to detail, good judgement, a passion for delivery across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment whilst having the ability to build productive relationships.
