Experience the beauty of nature while making a difference in our residents' lives at Avonpark Retirement Village. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Estates Operative to join our team on a full-time permanent basis to help create and maintain our stunning landscape.
As an Estates Operative at Avonpark, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by creating beautiful outdoor spaces that they can enjoy and relax in.
This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week, including some weekend working on a rota basis. There may also be a requirement to participate in an on-call rota from time to time. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the village and support the smooth operation of the estate throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the planting and maintenance of flowers, plants, and trees.
- Performing regular watering, pruning, and weeding to keep the gardens tidy and vibrant.
- Maintaining lawns, hedges, and other green areas.
- Operating and maintaining gardening equipment and tools.
- Assisting in the implementation of landscaping projects.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure the gardens meet the expectations and preferences of our residents.
- Following health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Helping the GM/FM with other tasks in and around the Village outside the garden environment when necessary.

Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening or landscaping is preferred, but not required.
- Passion for working with plants and creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
- Basic knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to perform gardening tasks, including lifting and operating equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to garden maintenance.
