Estates Surveyor
Nottinghamshire based local authority
3 Days Per Week | Hybrid Working
£400 per day Umbrella / £300 per day PAYE
Initial 6 Month Contract
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Council based in Nottinghamshire for an experienced Interim Estates Surveyor to join the Commercial Development team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estates Surveyor to help tackle a backlog of commercial property work whilst supporting the ongoing management of the Council's property portfolio.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a varied caseload covering lease renewals, rent reviews and wider landlord & tenant matters, whilst also supporting acquisitions, disposals and general estate management activities.

Responsibilities
- Managing a backlog of commercial lease renewals and rent reviews
- Negotiating landlord & tenant matters
- Managing commercial property interests including industrial units, offices, retail units and investment properties
- Undertaking property valuations and rental assessments
- Supporting acquisitions, disposals and small land sales
- Progressing property transactions through to completion
- Managing open space adoptions, easements and wayleaves
- Liaising with legal teams, external surveyors and stakeholders
- Preparing committee reports and providing professional property advice

Requirements
- Proven experience working as an Estates Surveyor
- Strong commercial landlord & tenant knowledge
- Experience of lease renewals and rent reviews
- Previous Local Authority experience is highly desirable
- MRICS qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
- Ability to manage a varied commercial property caseload independently
