About The Candidate
We are looking to recruit a motivated and reliable individual to join our busy and dedicated Estates Team. You will take pride in providing a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our learners, staff and visitors, and have a positive, proactive approach to your work.
The ideal candidate will be practical, hardworking and flexible, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be comfortable working in a varied and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and will always maintain a professional and customer-focused approach.
Experience within estates, facilities, or maintenance environments would be beneficial, however attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are equally important.
About The Role
Working as part of a close-knit Estates Team, you will support the day-to-day operation of the College’s campuses by assisting in the delivery of a wide range of estates and facilities services.
This is a varied and hands-on role involving campus opening and closing, general site upkeep, basic maintenance tasks, planned preventative maintenance, room setups, waste management, and ensuring the overall presentation, safety, and functionality of our buildings and grounds.

Role Responsibilities
- Opening and securing college campuses
- Carrying out basic repairs
- Completion of planned preventative maintenance schedules
- Setting up furniture as and when required
- Removal of litter and waste daily
- Supervision of contractors and visitors
Qualifications
- A valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel between sites to cover a shift system between 06:00 and 23:00
Essential Skills & Experience
- Use of hand tools
- Manual handling
- Accurate record keeping
Desirable Skills & Experience – (Optional)
- Working at height
- First aid at work
- Asbestos awareness
- Basic trade skills (plumbing, joinery, painting)
