Location: Kirkley Campus, Northumberland Salary: £25,949 per annum Post Type: Full Time – Permanent Reference: 0377-26-R Closing Date: 23:59 BST on Thursday, 09 July 2026
About The Candidate
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our dynamic Estates Team. Your role involves upholding a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for learners, staff, and visitors.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Practical, hardworking, and flexible
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, varied environment where no two days are alike
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proactively customer-focused and professional in their approach
While experience in estates, facilities, or maintenance is beneficial, attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are equally crucial.
About The Role
As part of a close-knit Estates Team, you will support the day-to-day operation of our College campuses via a range of estates and facilities services.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing college campuses
- Basic maintenance and repairs
- Planned preventative maintenance schedules
- Setting up rooms and furniture as needed
- Daily litter and waste removal
- Supervising contractors and visitors

Job Requirements
Essential Criteria:
- A valid UK driving licence
- Ability to travel between sites (shift coverage 06:00–23:00)
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Competent use of hand tools
- Manual handling
- Strong accuracy in record-keeping
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Working at height
- First aid at work certification
- Asbestos awareness knowledge
- Basic trade skills (plumbing, joinery, painting)
