Aureos are seeking an Estimating Assistant to join our growing team in Bathgate.
Working within Aureos’ Energy Business Unit, and forming a part of the Estimating team, the Estimating Administrator plays an integral part in delivering exceptional commercial results.

Aureos Energy work collaboratively with our customers to deliver critical national infrastructure projects across the UK’s Energy Networks. Our goals are to:

With sustainable growth in mind, the Estimating Administrator is responsible for:
- Assisting the estimating team in completing and maintaining preconstruction and construction tenders
- Contributing to Tender forecasts, providing accurate tender reporting, and independently creating Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- Engaging with the supply chain to gather quotations for tender submissions
You will report to the Estimator/ Estimating Manager and collaborate with:
- The Estimating team
- Commercial teams
- Project delivery teams
Responsibilities
- Tender Assistance:
- Competently collating tender files, including communicative documents
- Handling submission of tender packages to project teams
- Producing hand-over documents upon award completion

RFQ & Quotation Management:
- Inputting requirements into RFQ templates
- Gathering quotes from competent supply chain suppliers using site-specific rates
- Ensuring timely quotation returns

Data & Deadline Management:
- Registering tender status and deadlines
- Monitoring tender portals for updates, client communications, and deadlines
- Consolidating and monitoring changes in Tender, Quote (TQ) registers

Reporting & Governance:
- Maintaining accurate tender and cost records
- Taking clear, concise meeting minutes during tender discussions
- Demonstrating constructive challenge—questioning assumptions, decisions, and classifications

Compliance & Integration:
- Applying governance standards consistently, irrespective of urgency
- Adhering to commercial confidentiality and escalating concerns via formal channels
- Ensuring no issues are resolved outside governance processes
Key Skills & Requirements
- Technical Proficiency
- Experienced in data management, analysis, and presentation (Microsoft Excel)
- Understanding of basic commercial NEC or short-form contracts
- Strong attention to detail and filing
