Estimating Lead at NSS Maintenance
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum Car Allowance: £6,000 Location: Altrincham
About NSS Maintenance
NSS Maintenance are a working at height contractor operating throughout the UK. They provide facilities management and refurbishment services to clients in commercial, retail, and industrial sectors. The team maintains four UK depots and employs 600 employees directly, operating a fully serviced truck-mounted access fleet for both reactive and planned maintenance, cleaning, and more.
Role Overview
As the Estimating Lead for the Maintenance division, you will ensure the delivery of accurate, competitive tenders across a diverse range of projects. Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Head of Estimating in overseeing quote approvals and maintaining quality control standards.
- Mentoring junior estimators, providing guidance to extenders, and covering Head of Estimating duties during annual leave.
- Collaborating closely with surveyors, contract managers, and the sales team.
Responsibilities
Key Duties Include:
- Maintaining quality control standards across all maintenance quotations.
- Supporting and mentoring junior estimators.
- Ensuring all opportunities are completed within agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
- Collaborating with surveyors to enhance site data accuracy.
- Offering technical input and support to the sales team on complex or high-value opportunities.
- Assisting in refining estimating processes and documentation for clarity and efficiency.
- Leading the preparation and submission of maintenance tenders from enquiry to award.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and site constraints to ensure a full understanding of project scope.
- Engaging in the bid/no bid process for strategic decision-making.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Attending site surveys and client meetings where required to support maintenance quotes and bids.
