About the Role
Looking to build your estimating career with a respected Main Contractor?
We're working with an established, privately owned Main Contractor that is continuing to grow its commercial team. Due to an increasing workload across refurbishment, fit-out and framework projects, they're looking to recruit an Estimator or Assistant Estimator to work closely with an experienced manager, offering genuine mentorship and long-term career progression.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with ideally 2-3 years’ estimating experience who’s eager to develop, take on more responsibility and become a key part of a successful business.
Core Responsibilities
You’ll support the preparation and submission of competitive tenders across a wide range of projects, including:
- Commercial fit-outs
- Education projects
- Retail refurbishments
- Public sector framework works

Key duties will include:
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Producing accurate cost estimates and take-offs
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
- Assisting with tender submissions and client enquiries
- Collaborating with commercial and operational teams to secure new projects
Person Specification
We’re looking for:
- 2-3 years’ estimating experience with a Main Contractor
- Excellent attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
- Confidence in reviewing drawings and tender information
- A proactive, ambitious approach with a strong desire to learn from experienced professionals
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to commute to the South East London office five days per week
