About the Company & Role

A well‑established Design & Build fit‑out contractor delivering high‑quality commercial interiors across the North West. Known for its design‑led approach, strong client relationships, and consistent pipeline of CAT A/B workplace projects up to £2m+, the business is expanding its pre‑construction team with a capable Estimator who can support continued growth.

As Estimator, you’ll play a key part in shaping and winning projects. Working closely with design, commercial, and delivery teams, you’ll produce accurate, competitive tenders that reflect the company’s D&B methodology. You’ll report directly into the Senior Estimator, gaining support, mentorship, and clear progression opportunities as you take on more responsibility within the pre‑construction function.

This role suits someone who enjoys early-stage project involvement, values collaboration, and can balance creativity with commercial discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and tender submissions for CAT A/B fit‑out projects up to £2m+.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and design information to produce accurate pricing.
  • Use Bluebeam to review, mark up, and quantify drawings efficiently.
  • Produce structured cost breakdowns and tender documentation using Microsoft Excel.
  • Lead subcontractor procurement during tender stage, including enquiries, comparisons, and negotiations.
  • Work closely with the design team to provide cost advice, value engineering options, and buildability input.
  • Attend site visits, client meetings, and design workshops to understand scope and constraints.
  • Develop tender programmes, preliminaries, and risk assessments.
  • Support bid presentations and help secure new work.
  • Maintain and strengthen supply chain relationships to ensure competitive and reliable pricing.
  • Provide clear handovers to delivery and commercial teams for successful tenders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
