Job Title: Senior Estimator

Company: TIER 1 Main Contractor
Location: Slough
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, plus package

Are you an experienced Senior Estimator looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a brand new region? If so, we have an exceptional opportunity for you with one of the Commercial & Residential TIER 1 Build Contractors.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our new region's growth and success. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, providing valuable insights into pricing strategies, and contributing to the development of this rapidly expanding region. This role offers significant potential for career progression, including the possibility of moving into estimating management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for Warehousing, Industrial, Residential projects with the values of circa £50m - £150m
  • Tendering: Collaborate with project teams to develop winning tender proposals.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyse project specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine project requirements and costs.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and provide cost control support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Vendor Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in the Main Contracting Space with a proven track record of securing high value projects
  • Strong knowledge of estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
