A leader within the UK construction market offering bespoke joinery solutions for Commercial, Residential and Specialist projects, TMJ Interiors are seeking an experienced Estimator (Fit Out/Joinery) to join our existing team as we continue to grow and expand our business.
You will be involved from initial enquiry to project win stages, responsible for reviewing tender documents, commenting on, and pricing tender enquiries.
This role is based at our Head Office in Bildeston, Suffolk but occasional London/UK travel to sites/for meetings will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Producing competitive estimates for the supply and installation of Bespoke Joinery and Fit Out packages.
- Analysing tender documentation, highlighting scope gaps, risks and opportunities.
- Producing sub-contract and material enquires, answering queries and analysing quotations for compliance.
- Using internal estimating and take-off systems to accurately produce costings.
- Liaising with Contractors, Clients and Teams during the tender process and developing relationships.
- Working closely with internal Design and Manufacturing teams to ensure efficiencies are identified.
- Attending adjudication meetings/Preliminary Reviews/Mid -Bid meetings & Post Tender Interviews; presenting to Clients, Main Contractors, Project Directors; representing the Company, both internally and externally.

We're looking for someone with:
- Construction industry estimating experience, ideally high-end fit out & bespoke joinery in both Commercial & Residential sectors (although full training will be provided)
- High standard of Microsoft suite knowledge and estimating software systems
- A good understanding of estimating from first principles
- A good problem-solver, who takes ownership of tasks, with an analytical mind and a proactive attitude.
- Commercial awareness is essential with excellent communication, interpersonal and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
