Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in High Ongar, working in our growing estimating team.

- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing, façade, and cladding projects.
- Performing quantity take-offs.
- Requesting and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotes.
- Preparing detailed bid proposals.
- Collaborating with project managers and the commercial team to refine budgets, value engineer solutions, and track costs against estimates.
- Maintaining up-to-date pricing data.
- Supporting negotiations.
- Contributing to improving estimating processes and tools.

Qualifications
- Strong estimating and cost analysis skills for construction projects, ideally within roofing, façades, or cladding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and general office applications.
- Solid numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tenders, deadlines, and priorities.
- Experience in commercial construction or building envelope projects is highly beneficial.
- Relevant technical or construction-related qualification (e.g., quantity surveying, construction management) is preferred.
- Commitment to safe working practices and adherence to industry regulations and standards.
