Job Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a growing, family-run construction business due to continued expansion and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects.

With an annual turnover of approximately £8 million, the company delivers a diverse range of projects across the general building and civil engineering sectors, with project values typically ranging from £50,000 to £3 million.

  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to identify project requirements
  • Carry out detailed take-offs and quantify labour, plant and material requirements
  • Obtain, analyse and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering options
  • Prepare tender adjudication documents and commercial reports
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process
  • Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required
  • Support project handovers to operational teams following successful tender awards
  • Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
