Role: Estimator

Location: Elgin/Inverness

About the Role

As an Estimator, you’ll contribute to projects that shape the built environment and foster a more sustainable future.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide sub-contractor enquiries
  • Produce material enquiries in conjunction with the buying department
  • Compile analytical tenders for all projects, including:
    • Bills of quantities
    • Specifications
    • Drawings
  • Generate quantities from drawings when required
  • Prepare on-costs in liaison with planning and operations departments
  • Report to and advise Senior Management on projects during tender adjudication
  • Collaborate with the Design Team as necessary throughout the tendering process
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Undertake any additional duties as required by Senior Management

What You’ll Need

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a Built Environment discipline
  • Estimating experience within a relevant sector in the construction industry
  • RICS membership (desirable)
