Salary: Up to £60,000 + Package

A well-established multi-disciplinary contractor delivering projects across Facilities Management, M&E, Small Works, and Design & Build construction projects throughout the UK.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial projects and is continuing to grow its pre-construction and estimating function due to an increasing pipeline of work.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator (Electrical) to join a growing pre-construction team based in Milton Keynes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing electrical packages across a range of commercial projects, working closely with operations, commercial, and project delivery teams to produce accurate and competitive tenders.

This role would suit someone with a strong electrical background who understands both technical delivery and commercial pricing within construction or building services environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates and cost plans from drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Review project documentation and identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Produce accurate take-offs and pricing for labour, materials, subcontractors, and equipment
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
- Support bid submissions and tender presentations
- Work closely with project managers and commercial teams during handover stages
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required
- Maintain strong knowledge of current market rates and industry trends

Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within construction or building services
- Strong understanding of electrical installations and M&E systems
- Experience pricing commercial fit-out, FM, refurbishment, or construction projects
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable
- Experience within multi-disciplinary contractors or M&E contractors
- Electrical qualifications or trade background
- Experience using estimating software
- Knowledge of both small works and larger project tenders
