Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in Main Contracting?
Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an Estimator to join a professional and growing construction contractor specialising in healthcare, commercial, and education projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit and forward-thinking pre-construction team working on a variety of refurbishment and construction schemes ranging from small works through to multi-million-pound projects.

Qualifications
Essential:
- 3-5 years' estimating experience within a main contracting environment
- Experience within healthcare, commercial, or education sectors
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational, negotiation, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:
- Degree qualified or holds a construction-related qualification
- Good understanding of JCT / NEC forms of contract
- Experience using SMM7 and/or NRM
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review tender documentation to identify subcontract and material requirements
- Prepare and issue subcontract tender enquiries
- Assess and align subcontractor quotations
- Produce competitive tender submissions using subcontract and first-principles pricing methods
- Identify pricing gaps and compile labour, plant, and material costings
- Produce take-offs for general construction works, including flooring, ceilings, and partitions
- Prepare tender stage programmes
- Price project preliminaries, including welfare, waste management, and site protection requirements
- Identify and compile tender qualifications and exclusions
- Support the wider pre-construction team to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Attend site visits and undertake nationwide tender surveys when required
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the tender process

Requirements
- Work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude
- Be flexible to travel nationwide, including occasional overnight stays
- Show commitment to professional development and industry knowledge
- Be eligible to work within the UK
- Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check as part of onboarding
