Linsco are delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a well-established and respected contractor specialising in civil engineering, groundworks and brickwork services across the East Midlands and surrounding regions.
With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects for national housebuilders, developers and principal contractors, they continue to experience sustained growth and have secured a healthy pipeline of work across residential and commercial developments.
As a result, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with a background in civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure projects to join a successful and growing business where they can play a key role in securing future work and supporting the company's continued expansion.
The Role
Working closely with the Commercial Director and senior management team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of civil engineering, groundworks and associated construction projects.
Projects are likely to include residential infrastructure works, roads and sewers, foundations, drainage, earthworks, external works, retaining structures and associated groundworks packages.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
