Hammersmith & Chiswick Landscapes (HCL)

Hammersmith & Chiswick Landscapes (HCL) is a high-end garden design, build, and maintenance company based in Chiswick, West London. We work closely with leading garden designers to deliver complex, high-specification landscaping projects across London. Our team of experienced landscapers and horticulturalists is known for exceptional craftsmanship and close attention to detail, in a working environment that's progressive, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive.

We're Hiring: Estimator/Project Manager

We're looking for an Estimator/Project Manager to join HCL on a full-time, on-site basis, based in Chiswick, West London.

This role combines cost estimating with hands-on project management. You'll prepare detailed cost estimates for garden design and landscaping projects — analysing drawings, specifications, and site information to produce accurate quantity take-offs, budgets, and cost plans for both proposals and live projects. You'll obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations, track actual costs against estimates, and support cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
