Estimator - Lightning Protection Installations
Are you a proven Estimator with a background in lightning protection, earthing, or a related industry?
Location: Unit 16-17 H2o Business Units, Lake View Drive, Annesley, Nottingham NG15 0HT
The Role
- You will be responsible for preparing and producing risk assessments, designs, and quotations for a wide range of new build and retrofit projects.
- Working within a national team, your primary goal is to secure profitable projects and ensure a smooth handover to the contract management team.
- Creating technically sound and profitable quotations and designs that comply with prevailing British and International Standards.
- Meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and gross profit targets.
- Building dynamic, long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and generate new opportunities through proactive research.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and specifications to produce designs and risk assessments.

Who We're Looking For
- You should have proven design or estimating experience in lightning protection or a related field is preferred and have technical competence with BS EN 62305 accreditation or a recognised electrical engineering qualification.
- A good working knowledge of relevant UK and European standards related to lightning protection and earthing is essential.
- You should have the ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications, and to produce lightning protection risk assessments, designs, and layouts.
- A full UK driving licence is also required for occasional site visits.
