Estimator Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
About the Role
Help shape the UK’s energy future by supporting the construction of Sizewell C, a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes. This role sits within the Marine and Tunnels Section of the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), a collaboration between Sizewell C, Balfour Beatty, Bouygues, and Laing O’Rourke.
Core Responsibilities
The purpose of this vacancy is to:
- Feed into the Lead Estimator and Head of Estimating to ensure consistency in the estimating approach set out by the client.
- Work closely with a Senior Estimator (or independently) to produce high-quality estimating documentation assured internally and externally.
- Contribute to developing pricing strategies, including mentoring and supporting more junior members of the estimating team.

Required Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- Proficient in the use of Excel and similar software.
- Strong written English and mathematics skills.
Desirable
- Experience using Candy Estimating Software.
- Experience using RIB Cost X Quantification & Estimating Software.
- Familiarity with AACE principles of Estimating Class and associated maturity.
- Mobile and flexible approach to work.
