Estimators - All Levels | Major Infrastructure Projects | UK Wide

Junior Estimator | Estimator | Senior Estimator | Associate | Associate Director

We're working with one of the UK's leading infrastructure and construction consultancies as they continue to expand their commercial and estimating capability across the UK.

As a result of sustained growth and a strong project pipeline, we are looking to speak with Estimators at all levels who have experience delivering cost planning and estimating services on complex infrastructure programmes.

These are excellent opportunities to join an established, highly respected team working on some of the UK's most significant transport, utilities, energy and infrastructure schemes.

The Opportunity

You'll play a key role in developing robust cost plans and estimates throughout the project lifecycle, helping clients make informed investment decisions while ensuring projects remain commercially viable and deliver value for money.

Working alongside project controls, commercial and design teams, you'll contribute to the development of integrated cost, programme and scope baselines, whilst providing commercial insight that supports successful project delivery.

Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include:

  • Producing cost plans and detailed estimates from early concept through to developed design.
  • Developing estimating strategies and ensuring a consistent approach across projects.
  • Managing the estimating process for major programmes or specific work packages.
  • Working closely with engineers, designers, commercial teams and contractors to obtain accurate cost information.
  • Undertaking benchmarking, cost modelling and analysis using internal and external market data.
  • Identifying key cost drivers and providing commercial advice to influence design decisions.
  • Supporting value engineering and value management initiatives.
  • Contributing to risk assessment, contingency modelling and three-point estimating techniques.
  • Managing change control and ensuring cost forecasts accurately reflect evolving project scope.
  • Preparing high-quality reports and presenting cost information to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Developing estimates that consider construction methodology, temporary works, site constraints and project-specific risks.
  • Recording assumptions, exclusions, data sources and estimating methodologies to ensure transparency and consistency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
