Job Description
Purpose of Position
The Ethics Compliance Apprentice will support the Ethics Compliance Officer in the continued development of the ethics compliance framework and system for DPD UK. The post holder will be required to work with the Ethics Compliance Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and managers from all functions across the organisation to assist in promoting and enhancing the ethical integrity of the Company, and assist in embedding an ethical culture. The role will work closely with the Legal and Compliance team and other key functional stakeholders such as People & Talent.
We are looking for someone who is keen to build a career in Ethics Compliance and has a genuine interest in doing the right thing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated to learn and develop within a supported team.
Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility
- Ethics Compliance Framework and System: Supporting the Ethics Compliance Officer in the management, continued development, and review of the ethics compliance framework and system including:
- Policies and procedures e.g. Whistleblower Policy, Conflicts of Interest Policy, Gifts & Hospitality Policy
- Risk assessments on all ethics compliance topics in collaboration with the Internal Audit function e.g. Anti-Corruption, Duty of Care
- Disclosures systems for reporting of potential Conflicts of Interests and Gifts & Hospitality, including acting as a back office user
- Whistleblower alert line including acting as a trusted user
- Alerts and Disclosures supporting in whistleblower alerts and disclosures in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures
- Data and Reporting: Analysing all ethics compliance data and developing meaningful reporting templates and cycles to inform the Senior Leadership Team of key trends and issues
- Training Programme: Supporting in the delivery of all ethics related training
- Communications: Supporting the development of communications on compliance topics to the organisation
- Group Reporting: Supporting in the completion of Geopost reporting requirements on the ethics compliance topics for DPD UK
- Guidance: Providing ad hoc ethics compliance guidance to employees including queries into the ethics email inbox

Qualifications
Candidates must have achieved 4 GCSE's at grade 4 or above
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in everything they do
- Be trustworthy and able to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Have a mature and responsible approach and attention to detail
- Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Enjoy working with data, with the ability to gather and analyse the information accurately
- Be curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions and continuously learn
