End User Computing Product Specialist

About the Role The End User Computing Product Specialist is a technical role within ICT Operations, responsible for key tasks that ensure operational continuity, future development, and support of the Trust’s user device estate within their allocated specialism.

This is a full-time, primarily on-site position with flexible homeworking permitted where operationally appropriate. Normal working hours are 08:00–17:00 (Mon–Fri), with a rotating shift system in place among team members to cover these hours.

Optional but required responsibilities:

  • Participation in an on-call rota to address significant technical issues outside normal operational hours.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a key technical authority within the End User Computing (EUC) team, providing:

  • In-person and remote support to Trust staff.
  • Proactive specialist advice, development, and management of systems within your area of specialism.

Core Duties:

  • Collaborate with EUC Senior Product Specialists on:

    • Configuration and management of Trust tools, including Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune.
  • Coordinate and execute upgrade, maintenance, patch, upgrade, and hot fix deployments.

  • Review and remediate non-compliant endpoint devices within the EUC Team’s remit.

  • Design, develop, and deploy proactive performance and integrity monitoring for supported services.

  • Assist with:

    • Resolution of Service Desk calls.
    • Problem diagnosis based on agreed SLAs/OLAs where applicable.
  • Raise, implement, and review technical change requests in line with Trust ICT Change Management Policy.

  • Partner with:

    • Infrastructure Operations.
    • EUC Senior Product Specialists.
    • Project and Programme Managers.
    • To review and develop technical solutions and designs.
  • Lead non-project work packages for minor deployments and agreed solutions.

  • Work onsite or remotely, as directed by the EUC Manager or operational needs.

  • Rotate as part of the on-call rota.

  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by the EUC Manager.
