Senior Marketing Leader – European Marketing Lead, Apple Music and Podcasts (UK-Based)

As the European Marketing Lead for Apple Music and Podcasts, you’ll headline guidance for two defining services across the continent, spearheading strategy and leadership from the UK, with reach into Germany, France, and beyond.

Description
- Own the European marketing strategy for Apple Music and Podcasts, defining regional priorities and driving execution.
- Lead a small team—with one direct report in the UK and dotted-line responsibility over marketing leads in Germany and France.
- Build and deliver full-funnel annual marketing plans for each key market, balancing global focus with local cultural nuances across awareness, consideration, and conversion.
- Champion upper-funnel brand-building and culture-defining content, championing bold, high-impact activations that place Apple Music and Podcasts at the heart of European cultural moments.
- Drive product-led storytelling, ensuring compelling and consistent positioning of Apple Music and Podcasts’ features across all European market activities.
- Develop and own a European content, distribution, and partner strategy, identifying and securing high-value partnerships that boost awareness, credibility, and audience growth.
- Pitch for and secure budgets for European/local initiatives, presenting plans and results to senior global leadership.
- Influence global marketing strategy by informing leadership with European insights, audience data, and deep market expertise.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders (editorial, business, PR teams) to elevationg Apple Music priorities and campaigns locally.
- Work with Apple Marketing teams on integrated campaigns, ensuring music and audio take centre stage where relevant.
- Oversee the European social and creator strategy, managing agency and creator partnerships across markets.
- Stay hands-on with executing key projects—from brief to delivery—guarding against uncompromised standards.

Minimum Qualifications
- Senior experience as a marketer in music, audio, entertainment, or content—with a track record of high-impact results.
- Deep, actionable knowledge of the European music and audio landscape, including:
- Creator economy dynamics,
- Digital and social platforms,
- Emerging content trends across key markets (UK, France, Germany).
- Proven success in defining and executing European- or multi-market marketing strategies, adapting approaches to distinct audiences.
- Experienced leadership—capable of developing talent and leading via influence in a matrixed organisation.
- History of delivering bold, culturally relevant campaigns and securing major brand partnerships at scale.
- Demonstrated ability to pitch, manage, and justify major marketing budgets, emphasising ROI and measurable results.
- Fluent in stakeholder management, navigating effectively with cross-functional and international teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in subscription-based marketing, offering expertise in full-funnel growth (awareness through acquisition and retention).
- Strong European industry network, including business development and marketing partnerships in music, media, and entertainment.
- Track record of leading agency partnerships for creative, PR, and social campaigns.
- Ability to analytically assess and articulate results clearly to senior leadership and executives.
- Proven project management execution, achieving excellence while balancing multiple markets.
- Passion for Apple—familiarity with the brand, products, and marketing ethos (particularly Apple Music and Podcasts) a significant plus.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages enhance suitability.
