Europe Process Improvement Engineer

What does a typical day look like? These are your main tasks:
The Europe Process Improvement Engineer supports manufacturing sites in driving process optimization, standardization, and productivity improvement. The role applies Lean Six Sigma tools, process modelling, and data-driven analysis to solve operational issues, reduce cycle times, optimize resource usage, minimize wastes, and improve quality. Working closely with operation teams, the Process Improvement Engineer ensures best practices are shared and implemented and sustained effectively and safely to achieve measurable improvements in site performance.
The role also collaborates with the other EU Engineering Pillars to ensure alignment across the European organization and provides dedicated support to basic design for Project execution as needed.

- Lead process optimization and cycle time reduction initiatives.
- Benchmark cycle times for recipes across the network; identify ‘best in class’ and improvement opportunities to apply other sites and drive down ‘best in class’ cycle times in conjunction with recipe owner.
- Own the process technology for assigned product group. Optimize the process conditions, energy consumption, waste generation. Test and validate debottlenecking and equipment optimization initiatives. Ensure optimum conditions and validated improvements are incorporated in recipes
- Standardize operating procedures, recipes and QC testing methods across sites.
- Facilitate cross-site best practice sharing and benchmarking activities.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to identify and remove process bottlenecks.
- Drive continuous improvement projects in alignment with EU priorities.
- Collaborate with other functions to ensure consistent implementation of standards.
- Support site capability development programs, including OPEX talent identification.
- Collaborate with other Engineering Pillars to integrate cross-functional initiatives and ensure organizational alignment.
- Support sites in the implementation of engineering and operational excellence projects, acting as a key liaison between central functions and local operations.
- Support Project & Engineering pillar for project conceptual design
- Drive sites to embrace new ideas, adopt improved methods to create value, and move away from obsolete practices.

What is required to be successful in this role? (Education & Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum (3 to 5) years of process engineering or operations excellence experience in chemical or related industry.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and Safety standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English language.
- Travel for periods within Europe (typical duration 1 week) when business requires.
