We are seeking a senior communications leader to lead our Enterprise Mobility Communications Team based in Europe.
The Communications Director will provide strategic leadership for internal and external communications, helping guide efforts that protect, strengthen and advance the organisation’s awareness and reputation in support of long-term business growth.
Serving as a senior advisor and trusted counsel, this role guides corporate communications, executive visibility, issues/crisis communications, employee communications, earned media and wider communications activity across Europe ensuring alignment with global and local business priorities. The Director will oversee the office in Egham and collaborate closely with global teams.
The ideal candidate brings extensive B2C and B2B communications experience, has effectively led international teams and is comfortable operating within a matrixed global structure.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership of high impact, internal and external communications strategies that protect, strengthen and advance the organisation’s awareness and reputation across key audiences, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Translate business insights into strategic communications recommendations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering proactive counsel, strategic insights and thoughtful recommendations to ensure communication strategies effectively support organizational decision making and business objectives.
- Build influential relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support communication goals and ensure strategies are informed by/responsive to business needs.
- Serve as a senior leader on the global communications team, working closely with peers to help shape strategic direction by defining, refining and evaluating communication strategies, performance measures and long-term strategic plans.
- Lead and inspire communications team members by consistently modeling strong leadership behaviors and high standards of performance. Actively foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performance culture.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members, proactively identifying growth opportunities to strengthen performance and advance long-term career goals.
- Serve as a spokesperson on behalf of the company, representing the organisation’s position on key topics both internally and externally.
- Oversee and guide the performance of external agency partners, ensuring their work is aligned with organizational and team priorities, delivers measurable value and enhances the organisation’s communication capabilities.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging communications trends, technologies and best practices, integrating innovative approaches to elevate communication effectiveness.

- Extensive B2C, B2B and employee communications leadership experience across multiple countries.
- Experience building communications strategies tied to measurable outcomes.
- Proven track record leading high-performing teams.
- Experience within global, matrixed organisations and reporting to US-based leadership.
- Strong communications and business acumen, including multimarket strategy development.
- Excellent communication, influencing skills and executive presence.
- Demonstrated resilience, sound decision-making and ability to manage ambiguity.

This position will be based at our EU Corporate Headquarters in Egham, Surrey.
